Type locality: Chinchoxo, Angola [Cabinda Enclave]

Diagnosis

Male is similar to the widely co-occurring G. victoriae by (a) small size, Hw 35.0-44.0 mm; (b) pale legs with dark rings around the joints; (c) the absence of denticles in the posterior portion of the genital fossa border; and (d) the ventral carinae of S6-8 lacking denticles. However, has (1) the antennal sockets on the frons usually black like the adjacent vertex; (2) humeral sutures unmarked, at most with slight dark smudge at base; (3) thorax and Abd always green, without blue markings; and (4) longer cerci, 6.0-7.0 mm, over 3x as long as epiproct, about equal to length of S8-10 combined. Habitat description

Standing and mostly temporary waters shaded by forest. Usually with coarse detritus and mostly a soft (like muddy) bottom. From 0 to 2100 m above sea level, but mostly below 800, although possibly up to 2600.
