Phyllomacromia flavimitella (Pinhey, 1966)

Type locality: PN Garamba, Nagero, DRC

Diagnosis

Male is similar to P. amicorum Male is similar to P. flavimitella by (a) smaller size, Hw 29-34 mm; (b) thorax with 3 pale stripes on each side; (c) border of hamule smoothly curved, concave at base of hook; (d) genital lobe long and pale, reaches well beyond hook of hamule; (e) dorsum of S10 with peak bearing a single cone; (f) cerci yellow, may be darker at base, usually paler than epiproct; (g) tips of cerci rounded. However, differs by (1) hamule with deep, sharp notch at base of hook; (2) apices of genital lobes twisted quarter turn, lying in transverse plane. [Adapted from Dijkstra & Clausnitzer 2014]

Habitat description

Not known, but probably rivers or streams in open landscapes. From 700 to 1100 m above sea level.
